Organization is Priority #2!
If communication is priority 1 then organization is a close second! Without organization you have the same old tired problems. Slow moving projects, inconsistent results, and budget issues just to mention a few.
Organization is a heavy focus for Level Design & Build. This starts at the first phone call and ends with the final inspection. No shortcuts.
Here are some of the tools we use to keep organized.
BuilderTrend Software - Allows you to see schedule in real time, sign change orders instantly, see progress pics, track your payment schedule, and communicate daily with the Project Manager.
Voice Recorders - Brains are built to create ideas and problem solve, not remember things. Voice recorders are used to make sure the smallest details aren’t forgotten.
Whiteboards - These are placed on site and will have upcoming schedule items, phone numbers, etc. They also double as a communication tool between Homeowner and Project Manager in a pinch.
Cleaning Supplies - Kept on site are brooms, dustpans, vacuums, and garbage cans. They get used daily and the job is kept clean.
These are just a few of the ways we keep things organized so that the construction process can go as smoothly as possible. If you have any life hacks or tricks to stay organized we’d love to hear them. You can NEVER be TOO organized!
